Born in the mountains of El Salvador, roaster Carlos Payes grew up working in the coffee fields.
Since immigrating to the United States, Carlos has worked hard to overcome poverty, to support his family back home and to build his own American dream. In May 2014, he launched his roastery at the Glover Park farmers market in DC. Today he shares his handcrafted coffees at his specialty shop in Baltimore.
